Welcome to Glitzy Safari Ltd, a fully licensed Tour & Travel Company based in Arusha, Tanzania. We specialize in designing personalized safari experiences across some of Tanzania’s most iconic destinations, including wildlife safaris, Mount Kilimanjaro trekking, cultural tours, and Zanzibar beach holidays.

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legal agreement between you (the client) and Glitzy Safari Ltd. By making a booking with us—whether online, via email, or in person—you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms on behalf of yourself and all members of your travel group.

1. BOOKING PROCESS


a) To make an online inquiry, please fill out our short booking form. You will then be connected with one of our safari specialists who will assist you in choosing the best options for your trip. After selecting your preferred itinerary, we will confirm availability and issue an invoice requiring a 30% deposit of the total tour or service cost. For itineraries that include flights, full payment for airline tickets must be made in advance. Once the deposit is received, we will secure your selected itinerary, subject to availability. Your booking will be officially confirmed upon issuance of a confirmation invoice.

b) The remaining balance must be paid no later than 4 weeks before departure. For bookings made within 4 weeks of the travel date, full payment is required immediately upon confirmation of availability. Once full payment has been received, we will provide additional travel details such as the final itinerary, packing list, and travel advice.


2. CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Cancellation fees are applied as follows:

  • More than 4 weeks before departure: deposit is non-refundable.
  • 4 to 3 weeks before departure: 50% of total cost charged.
  • 3 to 2 weeks before departure: 70% of total cost charged.
  • Less than 2 weeks or no-show: 100% of total cost charged.

No refunds will be issued for failure to join the safari, late arrival, or early departure. However, we encourage clients to inform us at least 4 weeks in advance if they need to change travel dates so we can check for alternative availability.


3. BOOKING CHANGES

After confirmation, if you wish to modify your itinerary or change your departure date, we will do our best to accommodate your request depending on availability. Additional costs may apply and will be added to your original safari price. Standard cancellation fees will apply if you choose to postpone your trip.


4. INSURANCE

All guests are required to have comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering, but not limited to, cancellation, medical treatment, evacuation, repatriation, and loss of personal belongings. Glitzy Safari Ltd. is not responsible for any costs or losses resulting from insufficient insurance coverage.


5. PAYMENT METHODS

Payments can be made via credit card, bank transfer, or cash (for last-minute bookings when necessary).


6. BAGGAGE

Due to aircraft safety regulations and limited space, baggage on certain charter flights is restricted to 15 kg per person in a soft-sided bag, including camera equipment and hand luggage. Excess baggage without prior notice may be delayed, as it may need to be transported separately at an additional cost. If you anticipate excess luggage, we recommend booking an additional seat for baggage at your own expense.


7. WILDLIFE RISKS

Safaris involve close encounters with wild animals. Although incidents are rare, Glitzy Safari Ltd. and its staff accept no liability for injury or accidents. Guests must strictly follow park regulations and guide instructions at all times.


8. PASSPORTS & VISAS

Guests are responsible for ensuring they hold valid passports, visas, and all required travel documents. Glitzy Safari Ltd. is not liable for any delays, costs, or disruptions caused by incorrect or incomplete documentation.


9. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

Guests are advised to take appropriate health precautions before travel, including vaccinations and medical advice from a qualified doctor. Any contagious conditions or relevant health issues must be disclosed at the time of booking.


10. EXCLUSIONS

Our packages do not include the following:

  • Laundry services (in selected camps)
  • Personal items and optional excursions
  • International flights
  • Guide tips
  • Personal travel insurance
  • All personal expenses
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Soft drinks other than bottled water

11. RESPONSIBILITY

Glitzy Safari Ltd. and its representatives are not responsible for loss, damage, injury, or delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including weather conditions, strikes, war, or other unforeseen events. We reserve the right to modify or cancel itineraries if necessary.


12. SCHEDULE CHANGES

Itineraries may be adjusted due to weather conditions, seasonal factors, or operational requirements. In such cases, we will provide suitable alternatives while maintaining the overall quality of the safari experience.


13. REFUNDS

No refunds will be issued for unused services, accommodations, or activities. If any part of the itinerary becomes unavailable, we will provide a reasonable alternative where possible.


14, DRIVERS AND VEHICLES

Our drivers ensure guests are informed about park rules and safety guidelines throughout the safari. Standard driving hours are up to 8 hours per day, with additional hours only when necessary based on guide advice. No extra charges apply for extended driving time, provided it complies with park regulations and does not extend beyond 6:00 p.m.

15. PRICING

While we strive to maintain quoted prices, adjustments may occur due to factors such as airline price changes or currency fluctuations.


16. DELAYS

Glitzy Safari Ltd. is not responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from flight schedule changes or disruptions.


17. GUIDE SUBSTITUTION

If a guide is unavailable due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to assign a qualified replacement guide.


18. AGREEMENT

This agreement is governed by the laws of Tanzania and applies to all safaris and tours operated within the country.


19. CONSENT

Payment of a deposit or partial payment confirms acceptance of all terms and conditions stated in this document, whether or not the reservation form has been signed. These terms may only be amended in writing by an authorized director of Glitzy Safari Ltd.


20. AGE RESTRICTIONS

There is no upper age limit for participation. However, certain camps may impose minimum age requirements for children. We can recommend suitable family-friendly safari options.
